Hi guys,
I thought I'd suggest some books that I use when I'm DMing D&D games and see if anyone else has anything else they swear by.
Beyond Damage Dice by Kobold Press is a whole bunch of fun extra attacks for different weapons, it gives players the ability to think tactically and do more than just "shoot" and "stab". Ancestry and Culture also by Arcanist Press is a really neat book that makes it easier to customise characters and not feel "locked into" a certain archetype due to racial advantages/ disadvantages. It also provides rules for making characters raised in different cultures and settings. (https://www.dmsguild.com/product/314622/Ancestry--Culture-An-Alternative-to-Race-in-5e)
GURPS Supporting Cast by Steve Jackson Games has SO MANY NPCs and plots and all sorts of fun stuff. It's not a D&D book but it's very easy to adapt, especially for a GURPS supplement. (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/310554/GURPS-Classic-Supporting-Cast)
